As one of the pioneer photographers of Singapore, Mr. Goh Peng Seng is noted for his serene countryside scenes. Landscape photography is his specialty. Rich in tonal qualities, and precise in his printing, Mr. Goh's creative compositions pay much attention to lighting and colour contrasts. To this day, Mr. Goh still prides himself in being able to capture pictures with his steady hands and without the aid of a tripod, manifesting his belief that there is only a split second chance for one to capture the perfect moment: Once this chance is missed, there will never be another. Though now retired, he still traveled extensively, sometimes alone, to countries such as Nepal, Indonesia, China, US and Canada to take pictures. He had been described in an interview with The Straits Times in 1997, in words that still remain appropriate to this day: Age may have mellowed him, but his passion for photography remains undimmed.

Over the years, Mr. Goh has won numerous awards for his photography, both locally and in salons in Britain, the United States, Sweden, France, Poland and Austria. His most notable awards include, being one of the few Singaporeans to be awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (Britain) in 1960, Honoraire Excellence of the FIAP, Switzerland (Hon, E.FIAP) in 1965, Hon Fellowship of the Photographic Society of Singapore (Hon. F.PSS) in 1975, being chosen as a recipient of the exalted Cultural Medallion in 1990, and being conferred the prestigious Photographic Society of Singapore's Honorary Life Membership in 1997.
